Interview with Marshall and Elliott Rader, Founders of The GFB
LCG Foods sat down with The GFB's Founders, Marshall and Elliott Rader, and asked them some questions to better understand the brand's vision, core values, and other topics that we thought potential retail partners would want to know.

What motivated you to start your company and create the products that we see today? Back in 2008, founder Marshall was diagnosed as Celiac while his brother Elliott discovered a severe gluten intolerance. They started discussing the idea of creating a gluten-free bar business and, due to the utter lack of quality options available in the market, The GFB was born two years later.
What are your company’s core values? We believe in the golden rule.
If you could tell a retailer three things about what makes your brand different, what would they be? a. Our products truly taste amazing! You don’t need to be gluten free to enjoy GFBs!
b. We make the most balanced line of protein bars and bites on the market. With a healthy dose of plant-based protein paired with nuts, fruit and seeds our products keep you going longer.
What are some of the challenges that you've overcome to bring your business to its current state? Where do we start? None of the founders had previous food experience, so everything was new. We think that may have been an advantage, but still, a lot of learning along the way!
What do you enjoy doing outside of work? When we aren't working to drive The GFB to further success, we enjoy spending time with family + friends, staying active, and getting outside!
