Year the company was started: Established in 1941 in Japan as a humble rice pearl factory, Hakubaku's history is steeped in a tradition of excellence and innovation. It was not until a decade later, in a pivotal moment, that the breakthrough came with the introduction of "White Barley," a unique and refined product that set the stage for the brand's journey to success. Hakubaku Australia was established in 1996. The factory was built and started making noodles in 1998.
What is the ‘key ingredient’ that makes your product line special? We use the finest Australian organic wheat, and our patented high-temperature, short-time drying method ensures a firm texture that defines the perfect Japanese noodle experience. 80% of Japanese noodles manufactured in Japan use Australian wheat (mainly ASW). |
